The Annual Fund Provides monies for residential care, workshops, the farm and gardens, health care and therapies, cultural life, transportation, educational and recreational programs, special programs for the elderly—everything funded by the annual operating budget. Capital Projects Upcoming projects include • Renovations to three decades-old houses to address issues of space, accessibility and healthy living environments. • Construction of an addition to the Bakery to house a 12-foot wood-fired brick oven imported from France. This will allow the bakers to double their production and widen our market as well as create new jobs for the crew. • Improvements to our sewage treatment system to increase treatment capacity and accommodate new and renovated houses.
The Endowment Fund The Camphill Village Endowment Fund needs to grow in order to ensure the long-term fiscal stability of the organization. Gifts to the Endowment Fund may be made in cash, stock, bonds, insurance, wills, trusts or other deferred giving vehicles (see Ways of Giving).
• Gifts of cash or securities. Ninety-five percent of charitable gifts to Camphill Village come from individuals. Every gift counts! For questions about gifts of appreciated securities—a wonderful way to help further the ideals of Camphill—please contact Madeleine Israel, Associate Director of Development, at 518-329-7924 x 103. • Memorial Gifts. Honor the life and memory of a beloved family member, friend, respected colleague or anyone of your choice by designating your gift to Camphill Village as a Memorial Gift to that individual. Camphill Village will notify relatives of that person, with your permission. • Tribute Gifts. Celebrate someone you know, their accomplishments or contributions to life, by designating your gift to Camphill Village as a Tribute Gift. A Tribute Gift may celebrate a special occasion like a birthday, graduation, anniversary or retirement. Camphill Village will notify that person in accord with your wishes. • Planned gifts. A variety of planned giving opportunities—wills, bequests, retirement plans, charitable lead trusts and others—can enable you to combine your philanthropic goals and your financial needs. More than 1,000 companies nationwide participate in matching gift plans that allow you to double or triple the impact of your gift. Ask for a matching gift form from your personnel department and return the completed form with your contribution.

Camphill Village depends on charitable gifts from hundreds of people — families, friends, neighbors, business and professional people near and far. Fund raising will provide 40 percent of the funds needed this year for operating expenses. Entitlements for people with disabilities will provide 25 percent. New York State grants, including support for our certified clinic, will provide 28 percent. Income from our shops and a Board-approved disbursement from our Endowment Fund will provide 7 percent.
