The Village Green

Located at the corner of Camphill Road and Ring Road, The Village Green is a social gathering place for the community, as well as a destination for visitors. Here visitors will find a Coffee Shop, Café, Gift Shop and Library. Hours are Tuesdays-Saturdays,10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Coffee Shop is open to the public, no reservations required. In addition to a variety of delicious coffees*, we serve homemade soups and salads from 11am to 3:30 pm. Tasty cookies, tea, chips and sodas are also available.

Gift Shop Adjoining the Coffee Shop and Library, the Gift Shop offers an array of beautiful, functional and decorative products made in our many workshops, including cookies and other baked goods, beeswax candles, beautiful hand-woven scarves, woven goods including bags and area rugs, wooden toys, blocks and boards, herbal teas, tinctures and creams, and other handcrafted items from our community as well as other artisans. The Gift Shop also offers a fine selection of books on anthroposophy, curative education, social therapy, along with carefully chosen novels and books for children, families, art lovers and crafts people.

Library Thanks to the generosity of the Soubry Family, the Village Library now contains approximately 800 books and 200 classical music CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, courses and subscriptions.

The Café. The public is invited to join us for lunchevery Tuesday and Thursday at 12:30 p.m. A delicious, homemade meal, including dessert, is carefully prepared and served by a local cook and a staff of villagers. Dietary restrictions are accommodated. Reservations are required. Please call 518-329-7919 to make a reservation.
