Full-Time Registered Nurse

Camphill Village USA, Inc. is a community serving adults with special needs and is licensed by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.  We are seeking a full-time registered nurse to work in our primary care physician’s office.  On-call rotation is mandatory. Hours are Monday-Friday plus occasional weekends when on call.

The ideal applicant would possess case management experience, excellent nursing assessment skills, proficient computer skills, interest in integrated medicine, and great attention to detail.

Temporary Full-Time Direct Support Professional

Camphill Village USA, Inc. is a community serving adults with special needs and is licensed by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.  We are seeking a temporary full-time direct support professional to work with our residents who require additional care and support.  This temporary position may lead to a regular full-time position after a 6-month evaluation of our needs.

The successful candidate will welcome the opportunity to work in a residential community for developmentally disabled adults, be a self-starter with good follow through, and must be organized.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required; must be team oriented; must meet the qualifications of a driver as established by our insurance carrier.   Requirements include an Associates Degree with 2 years experience of DSP-related work or; 4 years experience of DSP-related work or; sufficient experience working with people with developmental disabilities. 

Essential functions of this position can vary in intensity and frequency from daily total care to frequent or occasional verbal and emotional support depending on the individual in need of care.  Because of the duties and responsibilities, applicants for this position must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, be able to walk, bend, squat, turn in the knees, back, wrists and shoulders, and grasp with both hands (in order to properly perform the techniques taught in CPR/First Aid).
